Mary was born in 1818 in Augusta County, VA. She was the daughter of William Kerr and Mary Grove.
On 9 May 1838 she married William Neeley Anderson[1]. They had at least one child, a son, William. They eventually moved to what is now Greenbrier County, West Virginia. It is here she passed away in 1899[2]. She is buried at the Old Stone Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
