Blanche was born in 1873 in the United States. ^[1] She emigrated to Canada in 1883 ^[1] where she married Arlington Albion Wright. ^[1] She was English speaking and a Baptist by religion. ^{[1] [2] [3]} After her first husband's death, she married a widower, Amos Bates, in 1918.
