Biography

Birth and Parents

Elisha Keyes was born in Massachusetts.

Elisha, the first son and second of eight children of Ebenezer Keyes and Tamar Wheelock was born on 15 February 1728 at Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

Marriage and Children

Elisha married Katherine Baker (1740-1797), the daughter of Thomas and Azubah (Rice) Baker on 7 March 1757 at Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. They had eight children born at Shrewsbury:

Death and Burial

Elisha Keyes died on 18 February 1811 in his 83rd year at Shrewsbury, and is buried in Mountain View Cemetery at Shrewsbury, Worcester, Massachusetts.^[10]
