Biography

Asenath Kimble Was born ca July 1820, in Crawford County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Daniel Kimball and his first wife.

She married Herman Gruesbeck 15 Nov. 1838 in Crawford County, Ohio.[1] They had 4 children.

  1. Alonzo Gruesbeck (1838-1933) (Possibly not Harmon's biological son.)
  2. Jane E Gruesbeck (1844-1914)
  3. Melissa M Gruesbeck (1845-1913)
  4. Sarah Abagail Gruesbeck (1847-1931)

She is thought have died in1850 at the age of 30, in Crawford County, Ohio.

Research Notes

There is a Family Search profile for "Arsenath Kimble" 1820-1848, who married Harmon Gruesbeck, 1820-1910. Three children and nine siblings are listed for her. Her parents are given as Daniel Kimball, b. Maine 1779 - d. 1848 IL. and Sarah ? Kimball, 1781 ME-1864 IL.

Records show that Daniel did not marrie Sarah Brown until 1860.

At age 42, He married Sarah Brown (1781-1864) on February 9, 1822, in Portland County, Main.[2]

so Sarah could not be Asenath's mother.
