Janet D. (Kinard) Stump, 86, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Sterling Buck Stump. Burial will be private in Red Lion Cemetery.
Born April 8, 1929 in Cross Roads, Janet was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Myrtle (Stitely) Kinard. Mrs. Stump was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church, the Red Lion Area Historical Society, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Red Lion Elks, and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Stump is survived by two sons, Bradley S. Stump of York and Todd S. Stump of Red Lion; a daughter-in-law, Susan Stump Ferguson of Red Lion; three grandchildren, Brent Stump, Adam J. Stump and his fiancée Lauren Pizi, and Lora Sterne and her husband Ed; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Janet was preceded in death by a son, Galen Stump, three brothers and a sister.
