Biography

William was the second child of Michael King, likely born in Nansemond County of the Virginia Colony. He married Mary Curle, daughter of Joshua and Rose Curle of Elizabeth City. His death likely occurred before 1747 since he stops appearing in records after that date. His wife survived him and later married a Mr. Tucker. She died in 1778. [1]

Mary left a will dated 11 Oct 1778, proved 24 December 1778. In the will she mentions two daughters (1) Mary (King) Hudson and (2) Rose (King) Lattimer. She also mentions one son, William King, and a grandson, Thomas King.[1]
