John was a Flight Sergeant in the Royal Canadian Air Force (Service No. R75603). He was reported missing, presumed dead, on 17 Sep 1942 as a result of air operations.[1][2] John is commemorated at the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery in Germany, as well as the Bomber Command Memorial Wall in Nanton, AB.[3]
