He married Mercy Holt, daughter of Isaac and Mercy (Morris) Holt, about 1 April 1768 at Norfolk, Connecticut.[1]
Samuel served during the American Revolution as a private from Connecticut under Cap Benedict, Col Bradley, Wadsworth's Brig.[2]
Samuel died on 16 Nov. 1824 at Norfolk, Connecticut and was buried at Huxley Cemetery, New Marlborough, Berkshire County, Massachusetts.[1] His memorial has a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[3]
