Biography

Ann was born in 1863. Baptised on April 19 1863 She was the daughter of Absolam Knight and Anne Sayers. In 1881 she is working for the Alfred Agate family (he is a corn merchant) as a General Servant Ann married Sam Cottington 0n September 16 1884 in Horsham In 1891 she is living @ 20, Springfield Road, Horsham (close to her mother) with her husband a sewing machine agent) and their 3 children. In 1901 Ann is now a widow, living @ 11, Springfield Road, with her daughter Alice and niece Gertrude Rowland In 1911 she is living @ 25, Springfield Road with 2 of her children. Ann had a total of 5 children but, according to the Census, 2 died whilst young. She passed away in 1933.
