Biography

Susan Knightly was the daughter of Richard Knightly and Jane Spencer.^[1]

Her birth date is uncertain, but was likely between 1510 and 1530 based on her parents timelines. She has been suggested as the second daughter.^[1] She is noted in her father's 1538 will as unmarried. She is listed here as born about 1520 in England. (Note that there is some indication that her parents married around 1522, but that would be too late for daughter Jane to then have a child around 1534.)

She married Richard Langtre (after 1538). They had no children ("died without issue").^[1]

Susan died by 28 Jan 1558/1559.^[1]

"[Sir Richard Knightley]'s estates in Studley [Warwickshie] were divided between them [i.e, five daughters], but Susan [Langtree] died without heirs in 1583, and her share [of the estates] was redivided." Canning-229 15:42, 3 January 2016 (EST)
