Walter was born about 1892.
His gravestone indicates that he was a veteran of World War I.
Two different people are getting confused Walter Roscoe Knowles Sr (1892-1948) one is definitely a white person.
One is white and one is possibly black , both are using the same findagrave reference.
I think the two Walter’s are the same person, and the USBH label should not be there. FamilySearch Person: K8ZT-YYK
I think it is the spouse that might be getting mixed up to who she actually is . Did Walter first marry a black women or are two Ethel’s getting mixed up. The son of Ethel and Walter is never noted as being black.
Are these two Ethel’s the same person.
