Sarah was born 23 Oct 1813 in the Bahamas. Her parents were Thomas Knowles and Tryphemia Rahming.[1][2] There were two women of Long Island who were named Sarah Sophia Knowles. Both married men named John Knowles. The other one was born several decades later.
