Phyllis was born in Blackburn, Lancashire, England, on November 1,1918. [1] She was the daughter of Thomas Knowles and Elizabeth Peel. She was enumerated in the 1939 Register residing with her parents at 3 Laughton Street, Blackburn. Occupation "Shorthand Typist" (Local Government Service).
Phyllis married William T.C. Towers in 1941.[2] The marriage was registered in the fourth quarter in Blackburn. It is unknown if the couple had children.
Phyllis passed away in Blackburn on February 26, 1994. [3] Her Probate was administered on June 21, 1944, in London. Her address at time of death was 47 Hunters Lodge, Cherry Tree, Blackburn. She was seventy five.
