Research Notes
Though the baptismal record of her daughter Celina transcribed her last name as "Woods" the actual record reads "Nools," a clear variant of Knowles.

As per "A Canadian Family" First Nations, French Canadians & Acadians website, Marguerite's father George Knowles was of Norfolk, England and her mother was M. Marguerite Hudon dit Beaulieu and the couple arrived in Shippagan around 1837.
