Biography

Armina Knox ("Minie") was born 5 September 1885 in Bowen, Kentucky to A.T. Knox and [1] to Algan T. Knox and Alice Baker[2][3]

Minie's mother died when she was a toddler. She was raised by her father and stepmother.

She married H. Ray Shear August 31, 1915 in Powell County, Kentucky.[4]

She and her husband tried to embark on a Presbyterian mission to Egypt with her husband, [Shear-105] H. Ray Shear], in the middle of World War I (see passport application and explanation of delay due to safey concerns (!) -- did they ever go?).

Minie died in Clarke County, Georgia on October 5, 1977.[5]
