Note N145Was a horse-and-buggy doctor. Family legend is that he caught something from one of his patients and died.
Some sources give his birth place as McMinn County, Tennessee but at the time of his birth, Polk County had been made from Bradley and McMinn Counties so it is really uncertain which county should be listed. Both McMinn and Polk Counties still exist.
Charles Henry (C.H.) Knox graduated for the Central College of Physicians and Surgeons, Indianapolis, Indiana. Information from 1907 Texas medical license.
He served as First Master of the Greenwood Chico Masons in 1895 and also in 1896-98 and 1901-03. Information from J. W. Irick 940-368-2765 (gathering pictures for Masonic Hall)
