Biography
Olav was born in 1705 at Øvre Helland in Vaksdal, and was the son of Knut Johansson Øvre Helland and Anna Knutsdatter Farestveit.[1]
He married Anna Halvorsdatter Flatekvål in 1731, and lived at part 4 of Flatekvål.[1][2] Their children were:
- Brita, born 1732, died 1742[2]
- Marta, born 1734, died 1742[2]
- Halvor, born 1737, died 1742[2]
- Knut, born 1739, took over part 4 of Flatekvål[2]
- Jon, born 1743, married Maria Olavsdatter from Nedre Helland in 1801[2]
- Halvor, born 1745[2]
- Stillborn child, born 1749[2]
He died in 1788.[2]
