Research Note: Adam Kohler (Kohler-409) and Johannes Kohler (Kohler-2106) are two different people possibly from the same area that have been mixed up.
This may be the case because there is a reference to a Johan Adam (K)Cohler and wife Elizabeth who had a son named Andrew at the same church around the same time as the Johannes Kohler family was there. (Could they have been related?)
See: The 1761 to 1802 Record of the New Bethel Zion Church of Grimmville (U.S. Rt. 22), Greenwich Twp., Berks Co., PA., pp 34, 39, Church Marriages, 1682-1976, database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L9KN-BZZ5?cc=2466360&wc=QVHX-S5D%3A1589973323 : accessed 15 March 2023), 007621895 > image 573 of 634; Various churches and archives, Pennsylvania.
I have also seen a couple of references to an Adam Kohler in York County PA and later references in Lehigh County PA. Children belonging to Johannes Kohler, not Adam, are:
1) Barbara Kohler Hill 2) Heinrich (Henry) Kohler 3) Anna Rosina Kohler Lefan (Levan) 4) Anna Maria Kohler Weston 5) Anna Catharina Kohler Haefner 6) Maria Soffia (Sophia) Kohler Kamp 7) Anna Elisabetha Kohler Weiser 8) Christina Kohler Kutz 9) Johannes Kohler 10) Margaret Kohler
Reorganization of these profiles is in progress.
He owned and farmed a plantation of over 600 acres in Greenwich Township, Berks Co., Pennsylvania.
Buried: New Bethel Zion Church Cemetery, Grimville, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
