Possibly married to a son of Han Paulus Zantsinger (note the spelling) who arrived on 23 September 1732 in Philadelphia on the ship Paulus from Rotterdam via Cowes. Females and children under sixteen were not listed. From the volume "A Collection of 30000 Names of German, Swiss Dutch and French and Other Immigrants in Pennsylvania from 1727 to 1776". Published 1876 authored by Prof I Daniel Rupp. Did she arrive in 1749 with her parents and siblings?

By far the best source for these Philadelphia arrivals is Strassburger & Hinke's "Pennsylvania German Pioneers 1727–1808, since they show a complete list of the passengers in the order of the original list. Here in Volume I at the bottom of the page starts the arrival of the ship Adventure on September 23, 1732: https://archive.org/details/pennsylvaniagerm42stra/page/82/mode/2up

List 23A (the arrival list) shows a Paul Songsinger, 20 years old, who I think is your Zantsinger; the arrival list also shows women and children.

List 23B (the clearance list) shows a Hans Paulus Zantsinger.

List 23C (Palatines giving their oaths of allengiance) also shows a Hans Paulus Zantsinger.

For the following 2 Strassburger volumes, you now need to "borrow" them but it's free ...

Volume II shows the original signatures of the immigrants; you can find it at archive.org by borrowing the book (free). Go to list #23B: https://archive.org/details/pennsylvaniagerm0000ralp_2/page/n5/mode/2up

Volume III includes later arrivals 1785–1808 and indexes: https://archive.org/details/pennsylvaniagerm0003ralp

Thank you Linda. Your reply reminded me that I had downloaded these books some time ago, but I was chasing my Klingenschmidt / Klingensmith ancestors at the time and didn't investigate Köppel much. I will have a more thorough look this time. I note even on the one page the spelling of Köppel varies a lot. Fortunately I have retained the German language (although born and living in Australia) and am in a position to relate these phonetic variations. In those days spelling was not standardised among the early Pennsylvanian Germans as attested by the inscription on John Jacob Keppel's headstone which is in phonetically spelled German.

Thanks again for the helpful reply.

After I posted the above message, I found the wikiTree page for this source, which shows more about the books and where to find them: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Pennsylvania_German_Pioneers:_A_Publication_of_the_Original_Lists_of_Arrivals_in_the_Port_of_Philadelphia_from_1727_to_1808

I found it really helpful to read the introduction in volume I (like if you're doing a lot of Palatine research). And the surname index in volume III may be helpful in sorting out those spelling variations.

Thanks again Linda. I have these volumes as PDF files already. I will be doing some more reading as you suggest.
