Biography

Johann Georg Krauß was born in about 1723, possibly in the town of Unterrombach in what was then the Duchy of Württemberg in the Holy Roman Empire.

He married Johanna Ursula Badmann in Backnang, in the Duchy of Württemberg, on April 29, 1748.^[1]

Children

This couple had at least two children:

1. Anna Maria, b. Dec. 1751^[2]
2. Matthias, b. Feb 1754^[3]

Research Notes

The birth year is a rough estimate based on the marriage date. There are two boys named Johann Georg Krauß, both baptized in nearby Unterrombach in 1723 (one in Jan; one in Oct) to different parents, and either are potential matches to the Johann Georg Krauß who married Johanna Ursula in Backnang in 1748, although the marriage record identifies his father as Samuel Krauß, which does not match either of these. More research required.
