Francis Kristan was an Iowan.

Frances Kristan Christian was born on January 4, 1900, in Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa, to John Kristan a.k.a. John Christian and Mary Stephanek Kristan (source is from death certificate but I'm not including it since it has her social security number).

Frist Street E., in Cedar Rapids, with her father John Kristan (age 43 - worked as a laborer in a slaughter house), her mother Mary (age 38), her sister Tillie (age 18 - worked in laundry), her brother John (age 15 - worked as a bell boy at a hotel), her brother Joseph (age 13), her sister Mary (age 11), her sister Annie (age 7 - born in Iowa) and her sister Lydie (age 4 - born in Iowa)^[1].
