Biography

Louisa was born in 1878 in Eden, Erie County, New York, the daughter of Christian Kromer and Catherine Heinrich (or Henry). She grew up on the family farm there and lived with her parents until their death in the mid-1900s. She then lived with ..... In 1915, her sister-in-law Elizabeth died, leaving six young children, and Louisa dedicated the rest of her life to being the housekeeper for her widowed brother George Alexander. George had taken over his father's farm and mills, so she returned to live on farm where she had grown up. She never married or had children of her own. Louisa passed away in 1958 at age 79 and is buried together with her parents and siblings in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Eden.
