In 1902 Robert Nicholas Kronk married Frances Ann Letcher in Bendigo, Victoria[2]
Wedding Notice: Bendigo Advertiser (Vic. : 1855 - 1918) Fri 4 Apr 1902 - KRONK—LETCHER. An interesting wedding took place on Wednesday afternoon, at Hawthorn Cottage, Neale Street, the residence of Mrs E. J. Kronk, the contracting parties being Mr R. F. Kronk, of the firm of Ewing and Kronk, Williamson street, eldest son of the late Mr A. P. Kronk, formerly of Bendigo, and Miss Fanny Letcher, second daughter of the late Mr E. Letcher, of Eaglehawk. The Ven. Archdeacon MacCullagh was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who was given away by Mr, Chas. Leggo was prettily attired in an effective costume of book muslin, transparent yoke and sleeves, insertion and satin trimmings, with the customary wreath and veil. The bridesmaids, Misses Maggie Cole and Elsie Leggo, were attired in pink voile, with Eton coats and silk vests, fancy braid and bebe ribbon. The groomsmen were Messrs. E. Letcher, brother of the bride, and R. S. Leggo. After the ceremony, the wedding breakfast, at which the Ven. Archdeacon MacCullagh presided, was partaken of, and various toasts incidental to the occasion were honored. The bride was the recipient of many useful and handsome presents. The happy couple left for the metropolis by the afternoon train amid the congratulations of a number of friends. The bride's travelling costume was electric blue trimmed with white merveilleux and Tuscan toque.[3]
He was a butcher by trade with the firm of Ewing and Kronk, in Williamson Street Bendigo (opposite Bush's produce store)[4]
Robert passed away in 1919 aged 42 years in Bendigo[5]
Death notice: The Argus (Melbourne, Vic) Wednesday 14 May 1919 - KRONK.—On the 12th May, at Neale street, Bendigo, Robert N. F. (Bob), dearly beloved husband of Fannie, and loving father of Bob, Roy, Jean, and Thelma, aged 42 years.[6]
Funeral notice: The Age (Melbourne, Vic. : 1854 - 1954) Thu 15 May 1919 - The remains of the late Mr. Robert Kronk, of Messrs. Ewing and Kronk, were interred on Wednesday in Bendigo Cemetery. Deceased was well known in the butchering trade, and regularly acted as judge of fat cattle at Bendigo show. The weekly sales at the municipal yards on Tuesday were suspended for five minutes out of respect to his memory.[7]
He is buried in the Bendigo Cemetery - Monumental D6, Monumental Grave 24282[8]
