Biography
August immigrated in 1882 to the USA at the age of 15 years with his parents, Franz Kühne and Agatha Eichner Kühne, and other siblings. He settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The 1940 US Census recorded August as 72 years old and his residence in Ward 12 of the city of Milwaukee.
