Biography

Hattie Lucille LaMarsh was born on September 18, 1907 in Grafton, Jersey, Illinois, United States.

Hattie married John Eugene Schleeper (born on August 6, 1905 in Illinois; son of [father] and [mother]).

In 1910, Hattie (2) was living in household of Frank La Marsh (49) in Grafton Ward 2, Jersey with her parents, Frank La (49) and Lucy La (42); and her siblings, George La (21), Sarah E La (19), Julia E La (17), Joseph La (15), Henry La (13), Birdie C La (12), Leo P La (11), Carrie C La (8), Myrtle B La (6), and Tony R La (1). ^[1]

In 1920, Hattie (12) was living in household of Frank Lamarsh (59) in Grafton, Jersey with her parents, Frank (59) and Lucy (49); and her siblings, Earnest (23), Budie Allen (20), Carrie (16), Myrtle (15), and Anthony (9). ^[2]

In 1930, Hattie (22) was living in household of John Schluper (23) in Brussels, Calhoun with her husband, John (23); and their children, Catherine (2), and Dorris (1). ^[3]

In 1940, Hattie (32) was living in household of Henry Schleeper (39) in Brussels, Calhoun with her husband, Henry (39); their children, Kathryn (15), Doris (13), Mary Sue (11), and Patrica (9); and Leo Schleeper (30, brother-in-law), and John Schleeper (36, brother-in-law). ^[4]

In 1950, Hattie (42) was living in household of John V Schluper (43) in Wood River Township, Madison with her husband, John V (43); and their children, Doris D (21), Mary L (18), and Patricia A (17). ^[5]

Hattie died on October 2, 2000 in Maryville, Madison, aged 93. She was buried in Saint Marys Catholic Cemetery, Brussels, Calhoun County, Illinois.^{[6] [7] [8] [9]}
