Marie LaPointe was a Canadian First Peoples and member of the Metis Nation.

Marie was born about 1813. She passed away in 1895.

Transcript from Kipling Collection: Marie Lapointe, born 1820. Metis, High Bluff Manitoba. Daughter of Antoine Lapointe and wife of Joseph Pocha.^[1]

In 1870 Marie LaPoint and Joseph Pocha were living at High Bluff, Manitoba with 5 children.^[2]

Marie LaPoint Pocha died in 1895^[3] and was buried at Saint Paul's Lindsay Cemetery.^[4]
