Biography

Etienne D'Argent LaFrance[1] was born in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana on 2 Jun 1751[2] to Jean D'Argent Lafrance and Christine Chauvin De Lery. He married Juana Fenelleau May 5, 1770 at the St. Louis Cathedral. Juana, daughter of Claude Fennouilleau and Pierrite Daubard, was born about 1755 and died December 2, 1798.[3] Etienne then married Margarita Mortall on 8 Mar 1800 at the St. Louis Cathedral.[4] She was daughter of Juan Mortall and Luisa Caseux. She was born Abt. 1763, and died December 25, 1809.

  4. Marianne LaFrance, born November 21, 1774;[7] died 1810.
  5. Agatha LaFrance, born May 22, 1779;[8] died April 18, 1815.
  6. Margarita LaFrance, born January 8, 1782;[9] died Bef. 1873
  7. Jean Baptiste LaFrance, born January 30, 1784;[10] died Bet. 1785 - 1874.
  8. Rosalie LaFrance, born June 26, 1786;[11] died November 15, 1850.
