Biography
I could not find out much about Peter Laing. I couldn't find his death certificate. Most likely there is a spelling mistake with his name. I found the newspaper note that he drowned at his son in laws property. I wonder what happened. In January his daughter (wife of his son-in-law) died. About 2 weeks later the son-in-law put the property on the market. It must have been very stressful for this old man. I am not sure when he was born. He passed away in 1870.
