Research Note: I assume these two petitions are for the same David - signatures seem to match. This David in Elizabethtown, was possibly not of age (21) when he first applied, so had to do so again two years later???

David Lakins UE of Elizabethtown, County of Leeds, Johnston District

Never received any land and Asks for land "usual quantum of land granted to a person of his description"

Oath that he is 21 years of age & upwards and never received any of land - "except for a Land Board Certificate for 200 acres which said Lakin sent to Head Quarters by Mr Rorison purposely to be renewed which Mr Rorison observes was not effected." Thomas Sherwood JP
