James Lamon Jr. was born May 1774 in St. Simon & Jude Parish, Norwich, Norfolk, England. He was the son of James Lamon Sr. and Alice Lamon.
James is very possibly a descendant of the Lamont Family of Argyll Scotland.
James married to Mary "Polly" Cunningham. They settled in Hounsfield, Jefferson County, New York and raised a family there.
James passed away at Hounsfield in 1852.
