Albert Lamp Dies At 57
Albert E. Lamp, 57, of 1000 Prospect St. died Saturday in Sherman Hospital following a brief illness.
A son of the Late Frank and Henrietta Grage Lamp, he was born April 18, 1908, in Elgin and was a lifelong resident.
For the past 34 years he was associated with the Northern Trust Co. in Chicago and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and at one time served as a deacon of the church.
Survivors include the widow, Dorris Shopen Lamp to whom he was married in 1936; two daughters, Letitia Susan and Alberta Marie, both at home; a brother, Charles Lamp of Dundee , and two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Edith) Hart and Miss Lydia Lamp, both of Elgin. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
A Memorial service was held this afternoon in the Wait, Ross, Allanson Funeral Chapel.
