Biography

In Brief
Mary Ann Lane was born at Matteawan, Dutchess County, New York on 12 December 1805 (First estimated as 1805 from the age range of William's presumed wife in the 1830 & 1840 Census records, finally calculated from the gravestone inscription),[1] and she died on 21 July 1847.[2] She was buried at Beacon, Dutchess County, New York in 1847 (St. Luke's Cemetery; Inscription: "w. of William a. 41-7-9').[2] She married William Ives Senior, as his first wife, before 1828.[3] He was the son of Joseph and Unknown (Unknown) Ives, born at Matteawan in 1806,[1] and he died at Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York on 7 June 1863.[4]
