He was born abt 1845 in KY, the son of Curtis and Margaret Chandler Lanum/Lanham residing in Andrew Co, MO 1850.
By 1855, the family had moved to Scyene, Dallas Co, TX and enumerated there in 1860[1] with his two brothers, Thos B and Wm C and Elizabeth Wade (b. Illinois age 6).
He married Sarah "Sallie" Green Jacks of MO[2] abt 1867. They moved to Rockwall Co, TX where they were enumerated with four children 1880[3]:

Franny (b. 1870 TX)
Curtis (b. 1875 TX)
Mary (b. 1879 TX)
By 1900 they had an additional two children enumerated adjacent to their son Curtis and wife Julia in Rockwall TX 1900[4]:
Thomas Berry (b. 1882)
Alma E. (b. 1888)
He passed away on 29 Dec 1920 (aged 75) in Clay Co, TX and buried in Hope Cemetery, Henrietta, Clay County, Texas[5]
