Henry and Kitty had six children in Hardin County from 1839 to 1847, most baptized at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church near RIneyville. They were

The family moved near to Owensboro in Daviess County about 1848. Most of Henry's children followed him to Daviess County, with the exception of Richard Lee Alvey, who moved to Breckinridge County and married Sarah Hinton, daughter of Vachel John Hinton and Jane Elizabeth Mattingly.
