Revolutionary War Record: States that went in service as volunteer in Lincoln County, North Carolina, thence to Sullivan County, Tennessee, and thence to Jefferson County, Tennessee where he died 9 Oct 1842.
Within these revolutionary war records, son John Large petitioned the court on 4 May 1844 to grant the widows pension to his mother Mary and it names all of the children of Joseph and Mary Large. However, Mary had died in 1843, so the widows pension was denied. The names listed are William, Thomas, Jacob, Adam, Elizabeth, Phebe Cook, Lucy Carmen, Deborah Large, and Sarah Harper, and signed by son, John Large.
