Biography

Brita may be the daughter Brita who was born in March 1680 and baptized on the 14th, to Lars Larsson the carpenter^[1] - it doesn't seem too farfetched for a young carpenter to be apprenticed as a bellows-maker.

Her obituary states that Brita Larsdotter in Kyrkbyn was born 1683 to Lars Larsson and Brita Micaelsdotter. In her twentieth year she was married to the smith Jan Classon at Östanfors. In their three and a half years together before he died they had one son and one daughter. Brita was a widow for thirteen years, then she married the tailor Anders Hansson from Östergyllen. Their two daughters are both dead. When Brita died from consumption 3 June 1737 she had been a widow for six years.^[2]

The daughters with Anders Hansson were Sara, 7 September 1720^[3] and Brita 20 December 1722.^[4]

The son Lars with Johan Classon died 4 July 1706, 29 weeks old; his father was dead by then.^[5]
