LYLE -- Shirley Rae Finnegan, age 65, of Lyle, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at her home.

She was born May 23, 1940, in Austin, Minn., to Archie and Mildred (Dennisen) Larson. Shirley graduated from Austin High School in the class of 1958. She was married to Donald J. Finnegan and they later divorced. For 39 years, she was employed in the Research and Development Division of the Hormel Foods Corporation. She was a member of the Eagle's Auxiliary and enjoyed camping, the outdoors and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Matthew Dingley, of Lyle, Minn.; grandchildren: Natalie and Joel Menuey, of Austin, Minn.; Jennifer Dingley and Scott Horgeshimer, of Austin, Minn.; Matthew James Dingley, of Lyle, Minn.; great-granddaughter, Hannah Rae Menuey; sister, Millie Buchanan, of Cass Lake, Minn.; three nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jan Larson; and great-granddaughter, Emma Sue Horgeshimer.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Lyle, Minn., with the Rev. Barbara Finley-Shea officiating. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be held at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and on Friday at the church for one hour before the service. The family prefers memorials.
