Note N3518This Indenture made and entered into this second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four between Nathaniel Latimere of the one part and Webster Gilbert of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the other part, witnesseth that the said Nathaniel Latimere for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Webster Gilbert the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged and himself there ___ fully satisfied and paid hath given granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and by their presents doth grant bargain sell, convey and confirm unto the said Webster Gilbert his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or prcel of land lying and being in the County of Robertson and State of Tennesee on the waters of Red River, Beginning four poles South of the branch on two white oaks, thence East three hundred and thirty poles to two black oaks, thence North one hundred and fifty eight poles to two hickories, thence West two hundred and fifty five poles to a stake, Gregory Empson’s corner, thence South eighteen poles to the said Empson’s South East corner, thence West fifteen poles to a stake in the Branch, thence South west with the meanders of the branch eighty poles to John Gilbert’s corner, a walnut thence West thirteen poles to a stake thence South seventy eight poles to the beginning, Containing by estimation two hundred and ninety eight acres be the same more or less, to have and to hold te aforesaid tract or parcel of land with all and singular the rights title par__ accurtanments, herediments, and appurtances of and to the same belonging as in any wise appertaining to the only proper use and behooof of him the said Webster Gilbert his heirs and assigns forever and the said Nathaniel Latimer for himself his heirs, executors, administrators & assigns doth covenant and agree to and with the said Webster Gilbert his heirs, executors, administratiors, or assigns that the above recited land and bargain premises he will warrant and forever defend against the right title interest or claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Nathaniel Latimer hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date first above writen.
