Eve, daughter of Daniel Lau and Margaret "Rebecca" Fissel,[1][2] was born 17 May 1832 in Spring Garden Township, York County, Pennsylvania.[1][2] Her parents had her baptized 5 August 1832 at Saint Paul's Lutheran and Reformed (Zieglers Church) in North Codorus Township, York County.[1][2]

Research Notes

  • There are two transcriptions of her baptismal record (original not viewed). One gives her name as Eve with baptism on 5 August 1832;[1] the other shows Eva, christened on 9 August 1832.[2] The birth date is the same on both.
