Biography
Anna Margaretha is the 9th child of Johann Christian and Anna Maria Laubach. She was known to many as "Polly". She was orphaned at age 14 and probably stayed with her brother, Fredrick, on the homestead.
"Polly" was 20 years old in the 1830 census; about two years later she married John Ikler.
County histories erroneously list Rebecca's sister, Anna Margaretha Laubach, as the wife of William Ikler.
The 1850 census lists Anna Margaretha as the wife of John Ikler. Rebecca as the wife of William Ikler living in Fishing Creek, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
