Biography
Donna Giuseppa Vincenza Lavenuta, the daughter of Don Giacomo Lavenuta and Donna Rosaria (or "Rosalia") Piazza, is born on 27 July 1837 in Corleone.[1] Her godparents are Barone Don Vincenzo Capuzzo (Capozzo), with Don Leoluca Piazza standing in as his proxy, and Donna Maria, the wife of Don Leoluca Piazza.[2]
Donna Giuseppa Vincenza marries Don Gaspare Vitagliano, son of Don Giovanni Vitagliano and Donna Giuseppa Lavenuta, on 16 January 1856. Her father has died by this time. Third degree consanguinity is detected and a dispensation obtained for this marriage.[3] Third degree consanguinity indicates that Gaspare and Giuseppa Vincenza are first cousins, once removed.
Gaspare and Giuseppa Vincenza have at least two children, Maria Concetta (c. 1868) and Giuseppe Maria (c. 1875).
Maria Concetta marries Filippo Bottalla on 25 September 1888 in Corleone.[4]
Giuseppe Maria marries Antonina Piazza on 16 June 1895.[5] Antonina and Giuseppe are first cousins, once removed.
