Biography
Gilbert Lawrence was born at Southampton, Nova Scotia, 1 Mar 1838 (death record), or 7 Mar 1838, [1] the son of David Lawrence and Mary Jane Fullerton; died of carcinoma of colon and old age at Amherst, Nova Scotia, 1 Nov 1922, aged 84y 9m, [2] and is buried in the Amherst Cemetery, also known as the Highland View Cemetery. [2] [3]
He married (1) at Amherst, 28 Mar 1865, Mary Elizabeth Bragg; [4] [5] married (2) at Amherst, 28 Apr 1869, Amelia A. Davison. [6]
