Lawton, Former G.E. Man, Union Graduate, Dead

Arthur H. Lawton. 59, graduate of Union College and former employee of the General Electric Company here, will be buried this morning in Oakwood cemetery, Troy, following funeral services at the Frank Himes funeral parlors,Fifth avenue, Troy, Mr. Lawton died December 2 at his home in Toronto, Canada, where he was chief engineer Of the Canada and General Finance Limited following his graduation from Union College, where he was affiliated with Chi Psi Fraternity. Mr. Lawton was employed by the General Electric Company for several years. He went to the New York Edison Company about 1905 and later was connected with the Con-Burner Power Company of Jackson, Michigan. He had been associated with the Canadian company about 15 years. Survivors are his widow, Mrs.Lillian Case Lawton, of Toronto; and a cousin, Mrs. Edward Krlegsmann of this city. ^[1]

Word has been received here of the death last night in Toronto, Can., after a long illness of Arthur H. Lawton. Mr. Lawton was an electrical engineer. He was the son of the late Ira and Alice (McChesney) Lawton. The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Lawton; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Schults of Ridgeway, Pa., and Mrs. Ines Hand of Peterson, N. J. The funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Himes funeral chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. ^[2]
