When James LeBaron was born on May 23, 1696, [1]in Plymouth, Massachusetts, his father, Francis, was 27 and his mother, Mary, was 28. He married Martha Benson on June 28, 1717, in Rochester, Massachusetts.[2] He was a farmer and resided on a farm in Middleburo which was bequeathed to him in his father Francis' will. [3]They had nine children in 45 years. He died on May 10, 1744, at the age of 47. [4]
James died intestate and on 10 July 1744, his widow Martha was granted the administration of his estate.[14]
His inventory was taken on 2 October 1744 in Middleborough.[15]
In 1746, Martha Parker, late widow of James, received her dower and the remaining estate was set out to his children, John Lebaron, James Lebaron, Joshua Lebaron, Martha Lebaron, Francis Lebaron, Mary, Lebaron, David Lebaron, and Lydia Lebaron.[16]
In 1746, an account of his estate was recorded.[17]
