Biography

Marguerite was born around 1808. (She is 54 years of age in the 1861 census, and died at the age of 74 in 1882). She is the daughter of Mathurin Leblanc and Susanne Arseneault.

Marguerite married Pierre Caissie, son of Joseph Caissie and Anastasie Léger, on 8 May 1826 in Grande-Digue.[1][2] Pierre and Marguerite had 11 children together, but only their daughters Marie Louise and Birgitte survived past infancy:

  11. Unnamed Infant Caissie (born 26 Dec 1843)

In the 1861 census, Margaret (age 54) was listed with her husband Peter in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[3]

She passed away in 1882 at the age of 74. Burial was on February 2 in Grande-Digue. [4]
