Vera Mae Leake was born 12 Jun 1896 in the Town of Fountain, Juneau County, Wisconsin[1] to Earnest W Leake and Amelia Carolina Gropp.[2] She married Robert Que Greenwood on 30 Jun 1913 in Chicago, Illinois and they had ten children:[2]
Robert died on 20 Feb 1929 and the family moved to Reedsburg, Wisconsin. On 31 Dec 1942, Vera married her second husband John Franklin (Frank) Leatherberry in Reedsburg. They did not have any children. In 1963, Vera and Frank moved to Ironton, Wisconsin. Vera died in a Madison, Wisconsin hospital on 23 May 1975 at age 78. When she died, she had 43 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.[1] She was buried in Green Wood Cemetery in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.[3]
