Biography

Sarah Liman, spinster, of the parish of Moncton, was married by banns February 18, 1836 at Salisbury to George Taylor, bachelor, of the parish of Salisbury; Justice of the Peace was Lewis Grites, witnesses were George Taylor and Moses Jones.[1]

In 1851, Sarah and her husband, George were residing in Salisbury; in their household were their children, Levi, age 14 years; Elizabeth A., age 12 years; Martha J., age 10 years; John W., age 7 years; Moses, age 5 years; and Milledge, age 11 months.[2]

By 1871, Sarah, age 51 years, and George, age 56 years, were living in Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick; in their household were their children: Martha Jane Lutz, newly widowed with her two children, Alice, age 4 years, and Peter, age 2 months; Milledge, age 21 years; Alexander, age 18 years; and Robert, age 14 years.[3]
