Marilyn died on 23 Jan. 2006 at her home in Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois and was buried at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois.[1]

Marilyn A. Hiher, 71, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Monday, January 23, 2006, at home with her family by her side in Savanna, Illinois. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2006 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna. Father Moises Apostol will be the Celebrant. Friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. A Scripture Wake Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. prior to the visitation on Wednesday.
Marilyn was born on March 16, 1934, in Savanna, the daughter of Claude and Carolyn (Tracey) Lease, Sr.
On June 30, 1956 Marilyn married Edward I. Hiher, Sr. in Savanna.
Marilyn enjoyed being a homemaker, she loved her family very much. She enjoyed Big Band “Swing” music and Country Classic. Marilyn was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was active in various organizations to benefit children and always worked to help raise money for the American Red Cross. Marilyn worked for twelve years at Big Meadows Nursing Home and seven years driving for Larry’s Cab Company in Savanna.
Marilyn will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Edward; her mother, Carolyn L. Lease of Savanna; her two sons, Edward Hiher, Jr. of Savanna and James Hiher of Thomson, IL; three daughters, Tracy (Mark) Harrison of Fulton, IL, Mary (Robert) Stephenson of Rockford, Illinois and Cynthia Hiher of Savanna; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one brother, Claude “Butch” (Connie) Lease of Savanna; one sister, Martha (Gary) Page of Hastings, MN, and one special Daughter in-law Shiela Hiher of Thomson; one niece; one nephew; and many other relatives.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Claude Lease, Sr.[1]
