Mary Ann Leathe was born in about the year 1838, the daughter of George Edwin and Mercy (Brown) Leathe of Reading, Massachusetts.[1]
She was married to Luther B. Pillsbury on August 14, 1863, in Reading, Massachusetts.[2]
She passed away in 1888. She is buried with her husband in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Reading.[3]
Mary's obituary was published in a local newspaper:[4]
Mary A. Pillsbury, wife of Luther Pillsbury, died at her home in Somerville Tuesday, Nov. 20. She was the daughter of the late Geo. E. Leathe, and was formerly a school teacher of this town. The deceased had been a great sufferer for years from paralysis, but has borne her sufferings with cheerful patience and Christian fortitude. She leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss. Funeral services were to be held at her home in Somerville Friday, and the remains brought to Reading for interment.
