Hanß was born before or on 11 August 1613, the day of his baptism, in Glatten near Freudenstadt, Duchy of Württemberg. He was the son of Georg ("Jerg") Lederlin and his wife Margaretha (Schwartz) Lederlin from Glatten.[1]
Hanß married Anna Kieffer[2] on 8 March 1636 in Dornstetten.[3] The couple lived in Glatten. Records exist for the following children:
In the marriage register of the parish of Glatten there is a page, presumably inserted later and written with a typewriter, in which marriages of persons living in Glatten are listed, which presumably because of the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War were not celebrated in Glatten, but in nearby Dornstetten. According to this list, Hans Lederle married Anna, Hans Kistner's widow, on 8 March 8 1636 in Dornstetten.[8] However, this contradicts the marriage record cited above, according to which Hans Lederle married Anna, the daughter of the deceased Hans Kieffer. Whether the typewritten entry was erroneous, or whether the author had the information that Anna had previously been married to Hans Kistner, is unclear.
In Hanß burial record, the day and month are faded. The only certainty is that he was buried in 1680.
